I like the TRD package but if money was no option I think I’d probably go XSE to get the dual zone climate control and other goodies.
That said I have a 2011 Camry Le 2.5 and test drove a 2018 Camry 2.5 Le and didn’t feel like it would be worth the upgrade as they felt so similar to drive. If I went this gen I’d want the SE, XSE or TRD trims but might be looking at a different model or brand to get a different experience at this point.
I’ll probably keep my 2011 and get something different in a few years that’s more fun. That way I’ll have the Camry for practical stuff and can get something more fun.

I swear a manual on offer (even if only 4cyl) would offset pretty much any complaint I have.

My wife has an ‘07. From an enthusiasts stand point I can’t stand the thing, but damn it’s great at being a car. Point A to B reliably, economically, comfortably and cheaply. For her it’s absolutely perfect and despite climbing up near 200k now, it drives like it has a quarter the miles and is still on the original suspension.
I showed her a red TRD at the dealer a few weeks back and she’s in love. One she’s done getting her degree it’s either that or a Wrangler.
I really dig the TRD rendition, but what in the world happened to the A pillar on this generation? Look at that goofy windshield! It’s more obvious on this model without the black roof. WOOF! I can’t unsee it now when I look at these cars.

Before I got my GTI I had an Accord Sport, but it had the CVT transmission. While it was great at being a car, the CVT really made it un-fun.
